When I get to hop the ferry from Lewes, DE to Cape May for photo sessions, I get so excited. I spend the hour and fifteen minutes relaxing with a book or catching up on emails or social media posts and enjoying the waves and breezes (with the occasional dolphin sightings). Being a Jersey girl residing in Delaware, it always feels like I am coming home to photograph amazing families in Cape May, Avalon and neighboring towns.
This amazing family requested their extended family photoshoot to be in North Wildwood, NJ, located on the island of Wildwood, NJ and home to a beautiful lighthouse and beaches. This entire family made me laugh and feel like I was part of their family. From the gardens to the jetty, this picturesque location was absolutely perfect for them this spring. Hereford Inlet is home of the beautiful lighthouse that was constructed in 1888. It’s enchantment and rich history is what makes photo sessions so special! It was a pleasure getting to know this family: from a Pippa-Pig loving tot to the most loving and kindest grandmom/great grandmother of the family. When you have the chance to document your family tree, always do it! These memories are passed down from family to family and I’m always honored to be the person to capture them.
